Mark LeylandWhether you are a national standard athlete or a keen weekend sports participant, currently suffering with injury or with a recurring injury, or need sports massage to maintain muscle quality, Sports Therapy can help.

The aim is to not just treat the injury/condition, but to also address the causes. If this is not done injuries have a nasty habit of returning on a more frequent basis, which not only affects training but also everyday life.

Thorough and comprehensive physical screening looking at posture, joint and tissue flexibility, strength and stability, will show any imbalances that may lead to injury or performance deficits. These can be addressed to not only help with injury rehabilitation/ prevention but also improve your sports performance.

Services on offer include sports massage, myofascial release, pilates, exercise prescription and nutritional advice.

I have over 5 years experience working in the NHS in a musculoskeletal outpatient setting, treating patients with a wide variety of conditions. I have also worked privately with high level and keen amateur sportspeople across a wide range of sports including golf, triathlon, badminton and football.

A thorough understanding of the sports is essential to aid recovery, enhance performance and prevent further injuries occurring.
